For more than 25 years Philadelphia native Marilyn Russell has dominated the airwaves on radio stations, including her current stint as morning host of Frank & Marilyn in the Morning on 98.1 WOGL FM.

Russell, who also hosts the station’s weekly “Remarkable Women” podcast, will keynote SCORE Bucks County’s 3rd annual Women Building Businesses workshop on June 19.

Russell, who began her career in radio at modern rock station 103.9 WDRE in 1993, will lead attendees with insight on how to “calm your critic and build your dream” – the theme for the women-focused event.

“Marilyn can tell her story,” SCORE mentor and workshop organizer Linda Zangrilli said. “We’re delighted to have Marilyn join us and share her inspiring story.”

The event will begin with networking, followed by a panel discussion with five prominent local female entrepreneurs. Russell will moderate the panel as speakers answer questions and share how they overcame obstacles on the journey to building their dreams.

Panelists will include Jen Crompton, creator, and owner of FUEL Cycle Fitness; Maureen Borzacchiello, president and CEO of Creative Display Solutions; Karen Thompson, president and founder of LSL Brands; Susan Morris, founder of Susan Morris Coaching; and Sunny White, founder, and CEO, Xavier Creative House.

Roundtable discussions will follow. Topics will include:

  • Confidence is the best outfit;
  • Building your personal brand;
  • Building your vision - where do you want to take your company in three to five years?
  • Getting good systems in place to manage your business;
  • Understanding the numbers of your business; and
  • Pricing – how to get what you are worth.
