Background

You now need to find $ funding to start or grow your business.

The funding options we will address at this workshop include:

  • Guerrilla Financing - Friends, Family, Customers, Suppliers, Credit Cards

  • Grants

  • Microlending

  • Angels

  • VCs

  • Crowdfunding (including “Equity Crowdfunding”)

  • Peer to Peer

  • Factoring

  • 401K Rollovers

  • Private Placement offers

  • Banks

But, first you need to have:

  • a product or service with an established demand

  • created a compelling business plan

  • developed a bullet proof cash flow/financial plan

  • your 60 second elevator speech perfected

  • knowledge of who your customers are and how to get to them (and how much it will cost)

  • an experienced management team

  • some collateral to secure your loan (in some, but not all cases)

In these modern fast moving times, there are many new avenues and sources of funding compared to just a few years ago, thanks to the internet.

Remember, an organization who will lend you money for your business does so with the strong belief that they will get their money back in a timely manner with interest.  The higher the risk to the lender, the higher the cost to the borrower.

Your job in this fund raising process is to demonstrate to the lender that they (and you) will be able to make money by working with you.

This workshop is designed to help you identify and explore many of these new and existing lender and equity funding options now available to you and to introduce you to persons who can help you move forward in your search for funding.

NOTE 1:  SCORE is a not for profit organization.  The $25 cost is to cover the out of pocket expenses of lunch and refreshments.

NOTE 2:  Students (FREE) - Use Promo Code: STUDENT
(you will be asked to show your Student ID at the Registration Desk)

At the end of the workshop, you are invited to schedule a FREE SCORE Counseling Session - to continue your Sales and Marketing planning and implementation process.
